Kerala Highlights (11 Nights / 12 Days)
Day 1: On arrival at the Airport/Railway Station in
Cochin, you will be met and transferred to Hotel at
Ernakulam. Kochi has preserved its history well and presents

Day 2: After breakfast travel by road to Alappuzha. One

Day 3: Breakfast on board. Disembark at Kumarakom.
Mangrove forest, paddy field, coconut groves and enchanting

meditation, boating, fishing, angling and swimming.

Day 4: Dawn is the quietest and best time for
viewing, when the first rays of sunlight filter through the
lush tropical canopy. Now prepare for a fascinating travel
through red tiled houses, parrot – green rubber estates,
blue – grey skies. As you take the twists and turns up
towards Periyar (Thekkady), the road affords amazing glimpse
of Western Ghats.
Day 5: After breakfast travel by road to Madurai the
historical city of India. Upon arrival check into the hotel

Day 6: Early morning travel by road to Kodaikanal .No
sightseeing tour of Kodaikanal can be commence without the
customary amble down Coakers Walk, a strip of paved road on
the steep south – eastern mountain side. Overnight stay at
hotel in Kodaikanal.
Day 7: After breakfast travel by road to Bryant Park,
a botanical garden set up by a British forest officer. The
road meanders past Green Valley View Point and wind 7 km to
Kodai’s most popular tourist attraction, Pillar Rock.
Kodai’s most popular waterfall is Silver Cascade, 7 km
outside town, formed by the backwaters of Kodai Lake.

Day 8: After breakfast travel by road to Marayoor.On the
way to Marayoor, visit Amaravathi Dam and Crocodile Farm and
Chinner Wildlife Sanctuary. Chinner Wildlife Sanctuary
located in the rain shadow region of the Western Ghats, the
sanctuary occupies the forested region on either side of the
Marayoor – Udumalpet road. The location of the sanctuary
offers the unique advantage of watching its fascinating
wildlife at close quarters from the road without venturing
deep into the jungle. Upon arrival at Marayoor check into
your hotel at Marayoor.
Day 9: This is the only place in Kerala that has a
natural growth of Sandal wood trees. Travel by road to
Munnar via Rajamala. Take a short break at Eravikulam
National Park. Half the world population of the rare Nilgiri
Tahr which is fast becoming extinct is now found here.

Day 10: For long, the best – kept secret among hill
station destinations, now the choice of honeymooners, tea –
tasters, corporate warriors and wannabe colonial. Visit
Mattupetty Dam, Kundala Plantation, Kundala Lake and Echo
Point. Overnight stay at hotel in Munnar.
Day 11: After breakfast travel by road to Cherai Beach.
This lovely beach bordering Vypeen Island is ideal for
swimming. A typical Kerala village with paddy fields and
coconut groves nearby is an added attraction. Overnight stay
at hotel in Cherai Beach.
Day 12: Transfer to the airport/railway station in time
for your return. Tour concludes. |
