Prime Attractions
Dambala
75 kilometers from Dharwad lies the Dambala famous for grape
and guavas. Dambala flaunts of many temples, Dodda Basappa
Temple being the best of them all. The Kalyani Chalukya
period Basappa temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple

Bankapura
Twenty kilometers from the railhead of Yalavigi on
Poona-Bangalore line and 30 kms from Hubli, Bankapura has a
fort. The Ranganatha Nagareshwara Temple has 60 pillars
engraved of Grey sandstone. The splendid temple has an
elegantly carved ceiling. Another notable temple here is the
Sidheshwara Temple.
Gadag
Gadag situates 75 kms from Dharwad and houses the well-known
temples of Vira Narayan, Trikuteshwara, and Someshwara. The
large Trikuteshwara Temple has a principal place of worship
that comprises of three lingas built up on the same stone.
