Day 02: Bangalore to Hassan
Distance- 180 km
Early morning Breakfast to be served at the hotel.
After Breakfast, drive to Hassan. On the way to
Hassan on your second day of the Hoysala temples
Tour, visit the famous Jain Temple at Sravanbelgola.
The main attraction here is the gigantic statue of
Gomateshwara on top of the Indragiri Hills. It is
often regarded as the tallest monolith in the world.
Day 03: Hassan
It is on the 3rd day that you visit the famous
Hoysala temples, the Belur and Halebid temples.
Though the Belur and the Halebid are both 17 km away
from each other, they are considered related. One is
mesmerized at the marvels of architecture displayed
here. Visit the main temple of Belur, the
Chennakeshava which is dedicated to Lord Krishna.
Then visit the Shiva Temple at Halebid where you
will be awestruck at the colossal structure of Nandi.
Day 04: Hassan to Mysore
Distance- 155 km
The next day of the Hoysala Temples tour, you will
drive to Mysore in the morning, which is a 155 km
drive from Hassan. The whole afternoon is spent
sightseeing the city and visiting the different
tourist places here. These include the Mysore
Palace, The beautiful Chamundi hills, St.Philomela's
Church and the Zoological Gardens.
Day 05: Mysore
The last day of the Hoysala Temples Tour takes you
to Somenathpur.The journey to Somenathpur starts
early in the morning. Then visit the Hoysala Temple
here, which is devoted to Prasanna Chennakeshava.
This temple bears a star shaped plan similar to the
Belur and Halebid temples. The afternoon is spent in
rest.
Day 06: Mysore to Bangalore
Distance- 128 km
Drive to Mysore in the morning and visit the famous
Sriragapatna on your way, the second capital of Tipu
Sultan. Offer your prayers at the Ranganathaswamy
temple , dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Spend a
delightful afternoon on a sightseeing tour to
Bangalore. Visit the lal bagh, Cubbon park,
Bangalore Fort, Tipu Sultan's palace. In the
evening, our escorts will arrange for your transfer
to the airport for catching homeward flights.
